Spent some time moving my home server from a pile of raw docker-compose files into Pulumi. The compose files worked, but every change was me SSHing in, editing YAML by hand and hoping I remembered what depended on what.

Now networks, volumes and containers are declared in code, I get a preview of what’s about to change before it happens, and the whole setup lives in a repo I can actually reason about. Bonus: agents are way better at helping me with a typed program than with a folder of loosely related YAML files 🙌
